Terms of Use

You sign in with your Google account (and with Apple where we offer it). You must be at least 13 years old to use My Plantfolio. Please keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under it.

We may limit access to My Plantfolio, for example by invitation while we're growing, and we may change or stop features over time.

What you add to My Plantfolio (plants, photos, care logs, notes, reminders, and your conversations with the assistant) is yours. It's private to your account unless you deliberately use a feature that shares it.

To run the app for you, you give us permission to store, process and display your content, and to send the parts that a feature needs to the service providers that help us deliver it, including the AI providers described in the Privacy Policy. We use your content to provide My Plantfolio to you, not to sell to anyone.

Only add photos and text you have the right to use, and please don't add other people's private information.

My Plantfolio uses artificial intelligence to identify plants, look at photos, answer questions and suggest care. AI can make mistakes. Identifications, diagnoses and care suggestions are friendly guidance, not guarantees and not professional advice. Check anything important yourself, especially anything involving safety.

In particular, don't rely on My Plantfolio to decide whether a plant is safe for children or pets to touch or eat, or safe to eat or use as medicine. If you're worried, ask a veterinarian, a doctor or a poison control service.

If an assistant reply seems wrong, unsafe or inappropriate, you can report it from the reply itself. We use those reports to improve the assistant.

Please don't:

• use My Plantfolio for anything unlawful, harmful, harassing or deceptive;
• try to get into anyone else's account or data, or to break or bypass our security;
• use bots, scraping or other automated means to use the app or the assistant, or put an unreasonable load on it;
• copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
• try to make the assistant produce content that is illegal, hateful, sexual or dangerous.

We may limit, suspend or end access if these terms are broken or if use puts the service or other people at risk.

Notifications are optional. If you turn them on, we send the reminders you set and, depending on the level you choose, occasional plant tips and discoveries. You can change this in Profile → Notifications or turn notifications off in your device settings.

My Plantfolio is currently free to use. If we add paid features in future, we'll tell you clearly before you're charged anything. Purchases made through Apple or Google are also subject to their terms. There may be a daily limit on how much you can use the AI assistant so it stays available to everyone.

My Plantfolio, including its design, name, logo, text, and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app for your own plant collection. Plant reference photos and information from public sources such as Wikimedia Commons and iNaturalist remain the property of their owners and are shown under their own terms.

You can stop using My Plantfolio at any time and permanently delete your account and its data yourself. Here's how: delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

We work hard to keep My Plantfolio useful and reliable, but it's provided “as is” and “as available.” We don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that the AI's answers will be accurate or suitable for your plants.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as a plant that doesn't thrive, or for losses that come from relying on AI guidance. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that can't be limited.

If you got My Plantfolio from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and My Plantfolio, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google aren't responsible for the app or for supporting it, and their own terms for using their stores also apply.

We may update these terms as My Plantfolio grows. When we make meaningful changes we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know in the app. Continuing to use My Plantfolio after a change means you accept the updated terms.
